Rana has been helping companies grow since 1991. As an investor, investment banker and lawyer, she has helped management teams achieve their corporate objectives from raising equity or debt to acquiring companies or assets to hiring key employees to developing and executing strategic plans. She has helped to raise over $4B in public equity and debt and $400M in private equity; and she has completed advisory transactions representing nearly $3B in aggregate transaction value. Throughout her career, she has worked for Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Alex. Brown & Sons, Merrill Lynch, Banc of America Securities, and North Point Advisors.

In 2009, Rana founded Little Pickle Press, a 21st century publisher of high quality, high impact media for children. She remains an active growth capital investor and serves on the Advisory Boards of The JG/JB Group at Merrill Lynch and shiftalliance. Her interests include practicing yoga, reading non-fiction, dreaming, walking along beaches, and effecting positive change. She lives in Belvedere, California with her husband and their three Little Pickles.
